I picked up my camera today...

I haven't been taking many pictures with my DSLR lately. No reason. My phone takes good pictures and it's pretty handy most of the time. But today the weather was nice, my kids were playing nice, and it just seemed like a good time to grab the good camera.

It amazes me when I upload the pictures and edit them- I always think "when did my kids get so grown up?" Something about having to look at the pictures when they aren't on my phone or camera makes my perspective change.

All of a sudden I see the 6 year old my baby boy has grown to be. And my tiny tornado isn't quite so tiny anymore. I realize this sentiment is starting to sound like a broken record on this little ol' blog, but this is really the only time I stop to think about how much the kids are growing and changing.

This is what 95% of the pictures of her look like. Even with the good camera.  :-)

It's the little things that make you stop and reflect that draw attention to the big changes that you don't notice day to day. Sigh.
