Ryan: 14 Months!

Our sweet little girl!

Ryan continues to be such a good girl. She has tons of smiles and lots of gabbering for us.

She hasn't changed too much from last month, this is one phase I really like because they slow down and start to settle into their personality :-)  Ryan is starting to be much more assertive and vocal about what she wants.  It is kind of funny, really. She makes sure her voice is heard, and now she points to things, too.

She hasn't grown too much, she is in 12-18 month clothes though. It is kind of sad that she is too big for onesies (I should say she won't wear onesies anymore- too much time spent snapping) so all of her clothes make she look like such a big girl! She is so cute though- girl clothes are fun!

For the sake of documentation (read: one day I want to remind her she used to do this to us), Ryan has picked up a bad habit of sticking her hands in her mouth, so much that she gags. Gross. I have had to clean up after this and it is not fun. Needless to say we have a pacifier on hands AT ALL TIMES to distract her from this behavior. I hope she grows out of this phase soon!! She thinks it is funny... silly girl!

Her obsession with Bubble Guppies has grown. She will now point to the remote or TV and say "Bub Bub" meaning Bubble Guppies. Beckett will even ask "Can Ryan watch Bubble Guppies?". It is so cute how happy she gets when she sees it!

She loves to play with Little People now too! Beckett's Duplo Lego people are also a fav. It is so funny to watch her carry them around.  She also loves any toys that sing songs. Sometimes she will dance, but they always make her smile!  Ryan reads books now too- I say that because she no longer has the patience for us to actually read the words to her, so she sits by herself and flips through looking at the pictures.

I am pretty sure she is cutting molars, once they are in she will have 10 teeth! All the better to eat with... and eat she does! Ryan loves food- but she continues to be selective (not picky, selective) about the foods she eats.  For example, she will eat canned green beans, but not frozen; and watermelon, but not cantaloupe. We discovered this week she LOVES BBQ. She will pretty much eat anything we are eating, that is so nice.  She is a very messy eater though! It is crazy how messy she is.

Milk is her favorite thing. Hands down. Favorite. She will drop whatever she is doing and run to the kitchen if she hears the fridge open or if you ask her "do you want some milk?". 90% of the times she fusses at us it is because she wants a milk refill.

Bath time is a favorite of hers too. If B is in the tub and she is not, she will scream.  She loves the shower spray- she drinks the water. I really think she could splash all day and not get tired of it!  My mom took the kids to a splash pad and Ryan loved sitting in the water and splashing :)

I absolutely love that she is starting to become her own person. Ryan is such a loving little girl and we cannot wait to see how she continues to grown and show us her personality!

We love her so very much!
