11 Months (and 4 days)!

11 months old!!! We can't believe it! Beckett sure is growing up! He gone through several growth spurts since his last check up, so I'll have to wait to even guess at his height and weight until next month.

He is feeding himself very well (unless he's too tired). He's settled into a very nice meal and nap schedule, and, when he isn't "bear crawling", he is determined to make Kenny and I walk him back and forth through our house as many times as we'll let him!

He's very interested in blocks and knocking things down, he also has a fascination with anything that makes noise, or that he can bang on the tile floor to make noise- at the moment this would be any TV remote he can get his hands on. He is starting to enjoy reading books (instead of chewing on them).

He is still trying to cut some teeth, although he has 8 already. He babbles all the time and is very good at saying "mamama", "dadada", "bababa", and we think he's working on "thhhh", "tuh-tuh", and "doe" (aka: dog). He has mastered the pitch and volume of his voice and is more than happy to scream shrilly when he is ready to get out of his car seat.

Baby Einstein videos still stop him dead in his tracks and mesmerize him for 20-30 minutes (just enough time for me to make dinner or get ready in the morning). He is very adventurous and is starting to develop an imagination- I think- and will play by himself for 10-15 minutes at a time, babbling and banging his toys.

I am trying my hardest to enjoy his last month of being an infant instead of anticipating him being a toddler and so far we've really enjoyed his first 4 days in this 11th month!

It is so much fun watching him learn new things and we are finding that no matter how much we think we love him, that love grows more and more every day!

  1. Awwh Beckett, why do you have to grow up SO fast? Can't you just wait until your auntie Jessica comes to visit before you get all "grown up" on us?
