Kansas City!

Last weekend we decided to venture to Kansas City.  The KC Royals were playing the Boston Red Sox, so that was more than enough reason for us to go!
We headed up there Friday.  I was really excited to take our Beckett-o-saurus to the T-Rex Cafe. 00It was so fun! They have life sized animatronic dinos that make noises and move! Beckett literally ran around the whole place, the whole time! He loved it!!  He was a little unsure of the T-Rex, it was funny because he wanted to look at it- stare at it- but not stand too close :)
Ryan wasn't sure what to think...

 His favorite:

Saturday we hit the Plaza to shop shop shop... or so we thought... Beckett was a little cranky so we spent most of the time trying to keep him busy :)
Saturday lunch was Gates BBQ. We love Gates and we would never dream of going to KC without getting some Burnt Ends on Bun or Chopped Brisket with Baked Beans. SO, so good.
Beckett loved playing in the hotel room, there was lots of floor space by the window for his dinos :)
Saturday, after nap, we headed to Kauffman Stadium to catch batting practice before the game.

The guy in the middle is Josh Beckett :) he was too far away to ask for an autograph though.
The popcorn was a big hit.
Ryan napped at first, she loved the Baby Bjorn! But then the humidity made it hot, hot, hot... I love this look on her face as she is waking up.

After her nap, she was pretty excited to turn around and see all the action.  She spent her time watching the baseball field and watching B play dinos.

The Red Sox ended up losing... too bad. But we still had a great time! The kids were so good! We walked through the KC Baseball Hall of Fame before leaving. It was very nice.

 Their World Series Trophy.

This was such a fun weekend! We always enjoy KC. It was also a great way for me to end my maternity leave.  I went back to work part time this week. I'm sad to leave the kiddos, but it is nice for me (and them) to have a break from our routine.  We are slowly adjusting to our new wake up time and morning routine, but I think that we will be much less frazzled next week :)
