Now that he is a year old, Beckett thinks he is all grown up. He is tall and heavy, but we won't know how tall or how heavy until the 13th because his pedi is out of town this week. I am excited because for the first time he is wearing the "age appropriate" clothes! We've been in 12-18 months for a while now, but now that he's 12 months he's in the "age range"; however, he already has some 18 month stuff that fits, so I don't think I'll be able to say that for long.
Beckett can walk all by himself now, he still needs help standing up, but after that he's off! His new trick this weekend is being able to turn in a circle- very impressive.
He really enjoys being outside and gets excited when we go to the back door. He loves the water and swimming, he has a water table on the back porch that he loves to splash in. If you say "Beckett, clap your hands" he will, he also claps when he wants attention or if you say "yay!" He loves to be the center of attention! Last night at his birthday party he was all smiles and noises for everyone.
He is turning into a real pick eater (if you know me I'm sure this amuses you). One day he will eat something and the next time you try to feed it to him he wont' have anything to do with it. He still loves fruit and pasta and it's touch and go with veggies and meat. He can feed himself with his fingers and he now eats all of his meals by himself. We have to ration how much food we give him at once because he will stuff it all in his mouth before he chews, so a lot of times he'll get too much in his mouth and can't chew :).
He still has just 8 teeth. He is making a lot more letter sounds now and figuring out different noises. Our favorite is "wow". He has turned into a good sleeper (knock on wood).

There is never a dull moment and he is sure keeping us on our toes, but as usual we are loving every minute!
