Over the past 365 days we have had an incredible adventure. Getting to know Beckett has been such a wonderful experience that has us eagerly anticipating the years to come. We have learned so much about ourselves, our son, and our family.

It's amazing how much a baby will change your life, and yet it feels like he's always been here, like he belongs. We have adapted in every way possible and it was not the "night and day" difference we were expecting. We are so truly blessed with a happy baby who has a brilliant personality- even when he's cranky.
We've learned that we really can function on 3 hours of sleep, that the words "schedule" and "routine" are really just words, that no matter how much you plan for something there's always something important you will forget, that you really can stand to change 4 dirty diapers in one day- only if it's your baby's diapers, we've discovered that you can receive all the advice from everyone kind enough to give it to you but at he end of the day you go with your gut instinct and whatever will get you the most sleep, we've figured out that the vent on the microwave will calm a crying baby, and that sometimes babies just need to cry.
We also discovered that nothing is more entertaining than your own child, even if you can't understand the gibberish it's still the most interesting thing you've ever heard, we always have time for patty cake, and banging two objects together to make a noise can be a very fun game.
I would like to say a special thank you to the inventors of Baby Einstein, the exersaucer, the johnny jumper, and the white noise machine. Without these people and their creations, the past year would have been much different.
Having Beckett has brought about so many new experiences and the past 365 days have been the best 365 days, and we know that they are only going to get better and better!
Our little baby boy is now just our little boy and we love him 365 times as much as we did when he was born and I know tomorrow it will be more than today, but less than how much it will be the next day.
And now we begin our second year as parents... 365 days and counting!
We love you Beckett!!
